Why I built Botnira
"I built Botnira after watching small businesses lose customers every week to calls nobody could answer in time."
Kamaljeet Singh Sidhu is the founder and CEO of Botnira, the AI receptionist platform, and CEO of The DigiSparrow, the technology company behind it. Born in Punjab, India, he moved to Canada in 2019 and is now based in Brantford, Ontario. Alongside running Botnira and The DigiSparrow, he is an active angel investor in SaaS companies.
Kamaljeet holds a B.Tech from Punjab University, Chandigarh (2012), an M.Tech from Conestoga College in Brantford, Ontario (2015), and an MBA in Business from Boston University in Boston, Massachusetts (2018). After completing his MBA, he joined The DigiSparrow in 2018 as a digital marketing manager and worked his way up to CEO, a role he holds today.
Under his leadership, The DigiSparrow has grown from roughly $2M to $145M in yearly revenue and now operates across three countries — Canada, Germany and India — building custom SaaS products, AI platforms, mobile apps, mobile games, cloud solutions and ERP systems for clients, alongside a four-member board.
Botnira began in June 2025 as an internal project to give The DigiSparrow's own clients an AI receptionist, and was spun out and launched as an independent product in June 2026. In his own words: "Botnira is an AI receptionist platform that helps businesses answer calls, communicate with customers and automate appointment booking" — built, he says, as the world's only omnichannel AI receptionist, and the first built to handle calls and messages in 120+ languages.
Kamaljeet also has roughly 8 years of hands-on SEO and digital marketing experience across 75+ projects. His best-known project, TCYonline.com, grew from around 12,000 daily visitors to 18 million visitors under his SEO and content strategy. That same data-driven approach — measure the outcome, don't assume it — is what he applies to the research, guides and case studies published on this hub.
